The start of a momentous journey

Thanks to funding from last year's Dovedale Dipper, we're welcoming a new 4 year scholar to Bahati from the Namuncha Community Schools Project. This is an exciting new partnership for us at KES because they're a similar charity in a different part of Kenya. They've worked with the community to build a primary school and are helping their students win scholarships at secondary schools (which remember aren't government funded so are incredibly difficult/impossible for disadvantaged families to fund).

All set
Here are a few pictures from the start of James's journey to Bahati. It's a journey we take for granted in the UK, but it's a lot more difficult and emotional in Kenya, and just look at those proud grins.

The final check and goodbyes
A great example of how far your kind support goes.

On the road
All the very best of luck for the future James.
